The introduction of more Euro standards has also brought changes to the designation of steel qualities. Where we used to have St.37-2, St.44.3 and St.52.0, we now have S235JRH, S275J0H and E355 + AR. The most common steel qualities are listed in the Euro standards table, which also shows that the standards and their corresponding steel qualities for steel pipes have been divided into categories depending on the type of application. The first letter of the steel quality code indicates the category. The number that follows it indicates the minimum limit of elasticity. Some examples:
1. Pressure applications
a. EN 10217-1, quality P235TR2 (formerly DIN 1626, material St.37.0)
